Try searching professional organizations in your field for current trends in the job, important issues, and inside information. You can search Google for "professional organization AND (Your Job Title)" to find organizations of interest.
To find articles on your career, you will want to search the library's databases. To access the databases, you will need to know your HFC library barcode number.
Articles will be shorter and more specific to one aspect of a career than books will be, so you will want to search for your specific career.
